The Egyptian joined Chelsea from Basel in January 2014, but after two goals in 19 appearances - albeit only ten being starts - he went out on loan to Fiorentina and then Roma, for whom he signed permanently in the summer of 2016.
He scored 19 goals in 39 games for the Italian giants, prompting Liverpool to shell out £34 million for his services and the rest is history.
Salah has 43 goals and counting in the red of Liverpool this season, winning the PFA Player of the Year and FWA Player of the Year awards.
And in an interview with ESPN, the Egyptian tar looked back on his brief time at Chelsea, insisting he had to leave, criticising Jose Mourinho for not having faith in him.
Salah said: "I didn't have my chance here, so I must leave. In my mind, I don't want to be someone sitting on the bench, and waiting to be number four or five or play two minutes and still in the big club. It doesn't work.
